COURSE
OVERVIEW
This course trains divers in the knowledge and skills needed to manage risks and effectively handle in-water problems and diving emergencies. Skills to be learned
including: assist, transports, surface rescues and
rescue from depth involving boat and shore based skin and scuba divers, and
first aid care. The
course meets the prerequisite rescue training for
Skin Diving Instructor, Assistant Instructor, Divemaster and Instructor certifications. For

QUALIFICATIONS
OF GRADUATES
 |
Graduates of this course will be certified as Scuba Rescue Diver, who are internationally recognized and considered competent to
perform assist and rescue in open water provided the diving site and diving situations approximate those of the course.

Graduates may use this
certification as a prerequisite for the NAUI Training Assistant, Specialty Course,
Leadership Courses and Instructor Courses.

course is 15.

Certified Advanced Scuba Diver of any recognized agency.

Current First Aid &
CPR Certifications (required
prior to graduation. Students may take the combined course to fulfil this
